WHAT’S IN A NAME: TRUTHTELLER WINERY
At TruthTeller, folks often ask about the jester logo on our TruthTeller label. Although the last name of our original founders was based on an old Swiss-German slang term loosely interpreted as “village idiot” when it came time to name the winery, we decided we preferred to embrace the concept of the jester. Certainly no idiots (in fact, quite the opposite), jesters were entertainers who were allowed to speak truth to the king. Wit and humor were their tools to speak their truth.
Over time, we have found deeper meaning in the name TruthTeller which we continue to explore. We believe in the power and importance of speaking truth. We champion TruthTellers. We delight in sharing our wines with all who cherish laughter, stories, quirky humor, pleasurable conversation and discovering our own individual truths along the way.
TruthTellers come in many forms. Our second label, The Miscreant Project, celebrates rebels and mischief-makers who have their own unique truths to tell.
We all experience wine (the flavors, aromas, stories and memories) in ways distinctively unique to the truth within each and every one of us. Live your truth.
