Power House Theater
The Power House Theatre is a world-class, 340 seat performing arts theatre located in downtown Walla Walla, just a short walk from Main Street. The 120 year-old building was once the Walla Walla Gas Plant, originally built to pump natural gas to light turn-of-the-century homes of Walla Walla. Now over a century later, the interior of the building has been transformed in exact replica of William Shakespeare’s Blackfriars Theatre in London, England, and is one of just two theatres in the U.S. that offers this intimate theatrical stage design and experience for audiences. The Power House Theatre is home to Shakespeare Walla Walla and stages professional productions by Shakespeare and award-winning playwrights, actors and directors throughout the year as well as a host of community special events.
