Local transportation provided both evenings from the Marcus Whitman Hotel
to the Barbecue Under the Stars and the Vintage Pour Gala.

The festivities commence Friday evening with guests arriving via shuttle to the striking
landscapes of Northstar Winery. Thirty Walla Walla Valley wine makers will be on hand
during the tasting reception, mingling with the guests and offering tastes of their current

• The Viking Grill – Off

  Sponsored by Viking Grill and American Lamb Board, prepare your palate and cast your
  vote as five local wine makers vie for the title of Master of the Grill, hosted by wine editor
  Sara Schneider of Sunset Magazine.

  Stepping up to the fire this year will be John Abbott, Abeja; Annette Bergevin, Bergevin Lane;
  Rich Funk, Saviah; Don Redman, Mannina Cellars; and Rick Small, Woodward Canyon.

• Menu

  Following the wine reception and grill-off, enjoy a barbecue buffet prepared with fresh
  local produce, including beef from Natural Country Beef Cooperative.

• Entertainment

  The evening culminates with music provided by Billy Joe and the Dusty 45's, voted best
  Seattle band three years in a row by readers of Seattle Weekly.

• Dress

  The evening is designed to be informal and fun on the lawn of Northstar Winery.
  Guests should prepare for cool evening temperatures.

Long Shadows Vintners is this year's venue for our classic tasting event, offering
a rare opportunity to taste vintage wines from private collections. While mingling with
wine makers, guests can sample delectable hors d' oeuvres crafted specifically to match
the wines, and bid on special Silent Auction items benefitting uncompensated care at
Seattle Children's Hospital. Twenty-six Walla Walla Valley wine makers will be in attendance.

Saturday evening diners will be whisked by limousine from the Vintage Pour Gala
to their choice of seven private wine maker's dinners where local culinary masters pair
delectable fare with each host winery's own wines.
$100, only available for purchase by guests of Vintage Walla Walla.
